Our Stories: life writing workshops
Explore fond memories through writing and conversation.
Join us for these monthly workshops where you can spend time exploring meaningful moments from your life and capturing them on the page.
During each 1.5 hour session, you’ll be guided through a variety of step-by-step activities designed to spark ideas and get your words flowing. This is not a traditional writing class, so there’s no pressure to share your writing with others. These activities are about writing for your own benefit.
Alongside writing, there will be time for conversation. In this non-judgemental space, you can swap stories, share memories or discuss the workshop theme.
Each month we focus on a different topic. These have included ‘The Natural World’, ‘What’s in Your Wardrobe?’ and ‘Animal Encounters’, among others!
Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere in a supportive group as we chat about life and preserve our memories on the page.
Expect a warm welcome and a hot drink! Come along and give it a go.
WHEN: The 3rd Wednesday of each month, 10am-11.30am
NEXT WORKSHOP: Weds 19th November
WHERE: The Wells Community Centre, Spa Drive, Epsom, Surrey KT18 7LR
HOW MUCH: First session FREE. After that, £15 or what you can afford.
Kate’s sessions transport you to happy times and places in your life, be they in the past, present or even future!
Sitting with others knowing that they too are sharing the same wonderfully positive experience makes it even more enjoyable. There is no pressure or expectation, just effortless chat, quiet thinking and writing time and you can share as much or as little as you wish.
Kate is the perfect person to make this very special ‘me time’ possible.
